Wintteri is a brand-new multi-purpose building in Uusikaupunki – a vibrant and modern hub for learning, culture, sports and community. The spaces in Wintteri are designed for education, physical activity, leisure, and culture. Under one roof, you'll find schools, sports facilities, youth services and adult education. The center includes, for example, a daycare, a comprehensive school and a high school as well as several spaces for sports, music and events. The construction of Wintteri was carried out using a 20-year lifecycle model, in which Finnish construction company SRV is responsible for both building and long-term maintenance of the facility. SRV’s model emphasizes usability and operational reliability, and the smart solution procured for the swimming hall and gym had to follow these principles as well. For the sports facilities, a reliable and effortless access control solution was required along with durable and user-friendly smart lockers. Comprehensive tools for monitoring, management, and customisation were also needed to ensure efficient and flexible system maintenance throughout Wintteri’s lifecycle.
The project interested us and sounded like a great fit for us, as durable smart solutions that offer a high-quality user experience are our core expertise. We were honored that SRV chose us as the supplier for the smart solution. Jere Pirhonen, SRV’s Director of Energy and Lifecycle Services, described the decision to select Pusatec’s solution as follows:

Our solution for Wintteri consists of access control with gate and door readers, PT-series smart lockers and comprehensive management and reporting tools in Pusatec Portal. With our solution, Wintteri’s sports facilities now benefit from modern, secure, and reliable access control and storage systems.
